After the global musical and multiple film adaptations, the Théâtre Hébertot revives Victor Hugo's masterpiece on stage in the flamboyant theatrical version created by the Compagnie Chouchenko.

1h50 of emotion and epic scope, from Fantine's intimate drama to the barricades of 1832, with Jean Valjean as a figure of redemption and humanity.

Jean Valjean, a former convict, tries to reinvent himself as a just man. But the relentless shadow of Inspector Javert pursues him. Around them revolve Cosette, Marius, Fantine, Gavroche, and the Thénardiers.

Between misery, justice, and hope, Hugo delivers a lesson in humanity that remains burning with relevance. Manon Montel entrusts the thread of the narrative to Madame Thénardier, a mischievous and biting figure who dialogues with the audience and drives the story. Her staging blends humour and tragedy, intimacy and historical scope. The ten actors effortlessly slip into a multitude of characters, supported by fluid scenography, sumptuous period costumes, and music that punctuates the narrative like a grand living fresco.
