Overview
The Monte-plats, a contemporary theatre show staged at La Petite Croisée des Chemins in Paris, with Sylvain Martin and Ulysse Matignon in the cast.
The Monte-plats belongs to contemporary theatre, a form in which speech, silences and waiting shape the stage. The title refers to a small hoist that raises dishes into a closed room, an image of a closed-door drama in which the characters communicate only through what reaches them.
Sylvain Martin and Ulysse Matignon are part of the cast of this production, which is performed at La Petite Croisée des Chemins, a concert and show venue in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
The show is aimed at audiences drawn to contemporary theatre and to attention paid to acting and staging. It suits a night at the theatre where the text and the performances take centre stage.
