Overview

"What you are listening to is my guts."

" That is the deal Léman offers with his first album, dizzying and plunging deep inside himself to make a inhabited, pop music of high craft.

Having introduced himself briefly but brilliantly with his EP "On est plein", Léman, whom we discovered in series 6 of The Voice, now fully unfolds with his first album.

Fed on metal, electro, mainstream rap and pop, the artist, who trained at the Villeurbanne conservatoire, is an atypical profile, a rare specimen, who bends the technique he has mastered perfectly to touch hearts.

Moving from the short format to the long, Léman has lost none of his melodic verve, nor of his ease at crafting nursery rhymes, where his memories, dreams, disappointments and also his observations on society jostle one another, laid over the musical backdrop formed by all his influences, from SebAstian through Radiohead to OrelSan.

Léman knows how to take up the pen both to show and dress his wounds, and to denounce those of the world.

He thus belongs to the tradition of French realist song, popular and mindful of its margins, as well as to the protest song, with regular forays into pop-rock, in which one recognises the influence of Muse, the famous pop-rock group led by Matthew Bellamy.

Like the thirty-year-old group, Léman has the range to fill stadiums as well as the most intimate venues, so wide is the amplitude of his vocal palette, even if it often roams into the high notes.

With this first album, Adieu musique, Léman invites us into his great theatre of life, where he brings together the intimate and the public, his inner world and society, in the line of a Balavoine with his head in the stars and his feet firmly in his generation.
