Les Hauts de Hurlevent

On the wild, wind-swept moors, a house stands, sheltering a devouring, dangerous and haunting passion.

At Wuthering Heights, hatred, blows, curses and spectres make up the setting of a story where Heathcliff, an adopted child, and Catherine, indomitable and passionate, love each other with an almost animal love.

Their bond is absolute, but jealousy, contempt and vengeance transform this love into a destructive cycle that will sweep away two generations.

Nelly, witness and narrator, brings to life the voice of Emily Brontë and guides the audience to the heart of a gothic drama, where the living and the dead converse.

On stage, the work recovers its original darkness, revealing all the complexity of the feelings and leaving the spectator to question the very nature of this so-called romance.

This stage adaptation restores the oppressive atmosphere and the entirety of this masterpiece of English literature.
