Theatrical show by the Bessa company revolving around the encounter between translator Laurence Sendrowicz and playwright Hanokh Levin

Laurence Sendrowicz makes her first encounter with Hanokh Levin the common thread of the show "Levin, le thé et moi": on a cold February day in 1992, the then-novice author-translator found herself sitting opposite one of the major figures of contemporary Israeli theatre.

A deeply personal contextualisation, an intimate testimony, between betrayal and veneration, which brings forth Levin's texts, some well-known and revisited, others unpublished. Born in Tel Aviv in 1943, and deceased in 1999, Hanokh Levin authored some fifty plays.

From the 1960s, his first political cabaret shows, written with vitriol, caused scandal. Fundamentally humanist, Levin tirelessly railed against conquest and occupation which, from whatever side one stands, leave only a defeated humanity.

The Bessa company was founded in 2004 on the initiative of Laurence Sendrowicz. Laurence Sendrowicz (text) - for over three decades, the author has translated and adapted Hanokh Levin's works into French.

Nafi Salah (direction) - an actor and then director from the early 70s, he is one of the founders of the Théâtre des Quartiers in Israel.

Yaacov Salah & Méïr Salah (music) - musicians and composers, the two brothers created Meya Music in 2012, a company for musical composition and arrangement.
