Lisa Perrio

In this one-woman show, co-written with Florian Nardone, Lisa brings to life the characters she encounters throughout her day: Kim, the misogynistic and misandrist artistic director; Marc, the gynaecologist frustrated at not pursuing his passion for theatre; Candice, the personal trainer who only exists through men's eyes… Through them, Lisa pokes fun at our absurdities, our contradictions and our clumsiness.

Carried by infectious energy, the show strings together situations that are as awkward as they are relatable. Lisa's gaze observes our flaws with both bite and tenderness, always accompanied by a disarming smile that invites complicity.

Brushstroke by brushstroke, like an impressionist painting, a more intimate story also takes shape within this gallery of characters: that of waiting for an absent father.

C'est compliqué, je t'expliquerai is a brilliantly written show, populated by endearing characters, that reveals a singular artist capable of shaking up everyday life to spark laughter.
