Lisa Perrio - C'est Compliqué, Je T'Expliquerai

Event presented by NOUVELLE SEINE. Lisa PERRIO in C'est compliqué, je t'expliquerai. Written and performed by: Lisa Perrio. Co-written and co-directed by: Florian Nardone. Running time: 1h10 (no interval). Suitable from age 12.

Known for her writing and humour on France Inter, Lisa Perrio showcases the full range of her talent as an actress in a one-woman show that is as sharp as it is hilarious.

In this show, co-written with Florian Nardone, Lisa embodies with irresistible energy the characters who populate her everyday life.

Joe, an artistic director as misogynistic as she is misandrist, Marc, a gynaecologist frustrated at not living out his passion for theatre, and Candice, a fitness coach obsessed with the way men look at her: all of them become mirrors of our contradictions.

Through this delicious gallery, Lisa observes our awkwardness, our absurdities and our small cowardices with bite, but always with tenderness. Situation after situation, laughter springs from discomfort and the familiar.

And, behind the humour, a more intimate story gradually takes shape: that of a woman marked by the absence of a father. A show that is fine, funny and sensitive, carried by a singular artist. Practical information: The barge is not wheelchair accessible.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the show. Metro: Saint-Michel or Maubert Mutualité. Car park: Parc Maubert.
