After the successes of Le Pianiste aux 50 doigts, Le Jour où j’ai rencontré Franz Liszt, and Une leçon de piano avec Chopin, Pascal Amoyel tackles a sacred monster: Beethoven. The most performed composer in the world is nonetheless one of the most misunderstood. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his passing, Pascal Amoyel returns to the stage of the Théâtre Montparnasse to pay him tribute. He conducts a thrilling investigation and decodes the absolute masterpiece of the piano, the 32 Sonatas, a true diary of a life. Performed by an internationally renowned pianist, awarded a Victoire de la Musique, this show reveals the secret face of the man. Or how, while life denied him joy, Beethoven created it himself in his music to bestow it upon humanity!
