Overview
A show devoted to Madeleine Béjart, an actress of Molière's company, presented at the Théâtre André-Malraux in Rueil-Malmaison. Isabelle Andréani, actress and director, is associated with this production.
This show takes Madeleine Béjart as its subject, an actress who was one of the figures of Molière's company and who founded the Illustre-Théâtre in Paris with him. The title therefore places at its centre a woman of the theatre whose life was bound up with that of a travelling troupe and its repertoire.
Isabelle Andréani, French actress and director born in 1971, is linked to the listing for this production. Her career spans acting and directing, on the stages of the theatre and live performance, which places the project within the realm of dramatic stage work.
The show is hosted at the Théâtre André-Malraux, a performance venue located in Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine. It is aimed at audiences interested in the history of French theatre and in the figure of its actors in the seventeenth century.
