Since the announcement of this appointment, the Ballet teams have been working hand in hand with both choreographers to prepare for this new stage. This shared programme celebrates the meeting of the worlds of these two creators.

Two evocations of a phantasmagorical Spain respond to each other: one, carnal and telluric, rises from a land of dust and ashes; the other, luminous and insane, soars carried by the wind of dreams.

In "L'Amour sorcier", Thierry Malandain conjures up the spectre of a love that refuses to die, prisoner of its passion. And in this round of life and black roses, it is all of humanity that seeks its deliverance, between death and desire.

In "Don Quichotte", Martin Harriague follows the path of a man who fights against reality, guided by a faceless love and an obstinate faith in beauty.

Beneath the madness, one can glimpse the solitude of the artist driven by the irrepressible collective need to believe, to imagine, to create. Two styles, two vital impulses like two faces of the same inner Spain, mystical and ardent.
