Since the announcement of this appointment, the company’s teams have been working hand in hand with the two choreographers to prepare this new chapter. This shared programme celebrates the meeting of the worlds of these two creators.

Two evocations of a phantasmagorical Spain answer each other: one, sensual and telluric, rises from a land of dust and ashes; the other, luminous and reckless, soars carried by the wind of dreams.

In ‘L’Amour sorcier’, Thierry Malandain conjures up the spectre of a love that refuses to die, a prisoner of its own passion. And in this round of life and black roses, all of humanity seeks its deliverance, between death and desire.

In ‘Don Quichotte’, Martin Harriague follows the path of a man who fights against reality, guided by a faceless love and the stubborn faith in beauty.

Beneath the madness one senses the solitude of the artist driven by the irrepressible collective need to believe, to imagine, to create. Two writings, two vital impulses like two faces of one inner Spain, mystical and ardent.
