Mammal Hands is at the forefront of a new wave of British artists pushing boundaries, blending jazz, contemporary classical music, electronic music, folk and minimalism to create a sound uniquely their own.
Formed in Norwich in 2012, Mammal Hands quickly earned praise from Bonobo, Tom Ravenscroft, Jamie Cullum and Gilles Peterson for their inventive approach.
Over five critically acclaimed albums on Gondwana Records, including Gift from the Trees in 2023, the band has built a loyal international following and forged a reputation for intense and hypnotic live performances.
Drawing inspiration from jazz, contemporary classical, electronica, folk and minimalism, Mammal Hands creates cinematic, deeply human and emotionally rich music — combining the energy of post-rock, the sensitivity of folk and the electro-inspired rhythms of Turner to form a sound that captivates both in the studio and on stage.
