Marina Viotti - Mezzo & Vision String Quartet

For one gala evening, Marina Viotti invites us on a journey. From opera to jazz, from Mahler to traditional music, Marina Viotti enjoys blurring the boundaries between genres. This musical freedom has taken her to the greatest international stages and, more recently, to the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, where she astonished the whole world by blending lyric singing and metal.

For this exceptional evening at the Salle Gaveau, the mezzo-soprano reveals every facet of her universe. Alongside pianist Todd Camburn and the Vision String Quartet, a phenomenon of the German scene, she takes us from the intimacy of Duparc's L'Invitation au voyage to the twilight colours of Respighi's Il Tramonto, then into the deeply moving world of Mahler's Rückert-Lieder. The evening then breaks free from repertoire and labels with a selection of traditional songs and jazz standards.

A musical journey in the image of Marina Viotti: free, daring and borderless.
