Morrissey

A major figure of British independent pop and rock, Morrissey presents a concert on the stage of La Seine Musicale.

The British artist Morrissey rose to fame as frontman of The Smiths, the band that founded jangle pop in the 1980s, before launching a prolific solo career marked by the release of his first album, Viva Hate, in 1988. His repertoire moves between melancholic pop melodies, often caustic literary lyrics and orchestral rock arrangements.

On stage, the singer is joined by a full band to revisit his solo compositions as well as classics from his historic repertoire. The concerts generally last close to two hours, driven by a theatrical presence and a pronounced sense of staging, without excessive visual artifice.

This date is aimed at fans of British independent pop and long-standing listeners attached to his distinctive vocal style. The configuration of La Seine Musicale allows the concert to take place in a hall suited to large-scale international tours.
