Musique en Héritage

Which refrains have marked our lives? Surely those our parents listened to and hummed around the house, and which left an indelible trace in us.

In Musiques en héritage, Ludmilla Dabo brings together six performers to conduct a sensitive and joyful inquiry into the heart of family musical memories.

Here, stories intermingle with songs to compose an intimate, sonic archive, ranging from French variety to traditional music, from rock to jazz, from Claude François to Nina Simone.

Each tune becomes a door opening onto a story, an era, a parental relationship. The stage gradually transforms into an imaginary family home, traversed by voices and memories. Between concert and theatre, this show in the form of a ballad composes a living musical library. What do we receive as inheritance? What do we choose to pass on? The answer comes in this warm and unifying moment, which makes you want to sing and remember together.
