Artistic Director of the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Alondra de la Parra has established herself as one of the most charismatic conductors of her generation. Her particularly festive programme begins with Huapango by José Moncayo, a national classic. Following La reina roja by Gabriela Ortiz, an internationally acclaimed Mexican composer, comes Revueltas's Sensemayá, an incantatory work rich in percussion, characteristic of its author's obsessive rhythms. The concert concludes with the Suite taken from Natalia Lafourcade's tenth studio album, De Todas las Flores, which won a Grammy Award in 2024. Hailed by critics for its "emotion", it blends various genres of Latin music, such as bolero, samba, and bossa nova.
