First chapter of a new collection, the album releases in October 2026. There are songs that seem to have always existed. Enjoy the Silence, the first extract from the new album is one of these—number one worldwide in 1990, it accompanied entire generations.
It's also the track that asserted itself first when the idea for this album took shape. Entrusted to Skye Edwards, Morcheeba's voice, the song receives here the sound at the heart of Nouvelle Vague's identity: Brazilian bossa nova, French song, radical simplicity.
Without its synthesizers, without its electronic architecture, Enjoy the Silence reveals what it has always been—a song of absolute beauty. Recorded in Rio de Janeiro with the cream of Brazilian musicians, the track strips Depeche Mode's classic to find new breath.
