Presented by SanguineA Date with Depeche Mode is the new album by Nouvelle Vague, recorded between Rio de Janeiro and Paris, bringing together eleven international female singers around the Depeche Mode repertoire. The first chapter of a new collection, the album will be released in October 2026.
Some songs seem to have always existed. Enjoy the Silence, the first single from the new album, is one of them: a number one hit worldwide in 1990, it has accompanied entire generations. It was also the first track to take shape when the idea for this album began to germinate.
Entrusted to Skye Edwards, the voice of Morcheeba, the song takes on the sound at the heart of Nouvelle Vague's identity: Brazilian bossa nova, French chanson, radical stripping-back. Without its synthesisers and its electronic architecture, Enjoy the Silence reveals what it has always been: a song of absolute beauty.
Recorded in Rio de Janeiro with the cream of Brazilian musicians, the track strips the Depeche Mode classic back to find it a new breath. Nouvelle Vague at its best.

Nouvelle Vague are a French band from Paris, formed in 2003 by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Blending new wave, bossa nova and lounge, they cover classic new wave tracks and released their self-titled first album on the Play It Again Sam label in 2004.
