Overview

Anja Lechner and Pablo Márquez have been exploring the repertoire for cello and guitar for twenty years, developing a unique sound, the starting point for a series of commissions to composers and composers from all latitudes.

As developed as it is, the repertoire for cello and guitar is a poor relation of contemporary creation. Which is why the Lechner-Márquez duo embarked on a commissioning project making use of their exceptional musical affinity.

But the composers to whom they turned all have multiple attachments: such as Brazilian Egberto Gismonti, partly trained in France and working with jazz musicians and traditional musicians, or Konstantia Gourzi, a Greek composer based in Germany, as well as Franco-Argentine Oscar Strasnoy.

As for Franco-Lebanese Zad Moultaka and Iranian Golfam Khayam, they build a bridge between Middle East and West.
