Passenger

Mike Rosenberg has news he is eager to shout from the rooftops and sing on stage. The singer-songwriter Passenger, who is topping the charts and breaking every record, recently got married and became a father for the first time last year.

« Wild Love  », his new album due out on 6 November, is the finest he has made to date, capturing the upheaval, the uncertainty, the apprehension and the joy of recent years. Following « Songs For The Drunk and Broken Hearted  », an album written during the pandemic in 2021 that reached No. 2 in the United Kingdom and the Top 10 across Europe, this is a genuine change of direction.

The announcement comes with the new single It Was Gonna Be You, already available: "It's the last song I wrote for the album and, honestly, I wasn't sure it would fit in with the others. It came from a less personal state of mind, which for a while seemed out of step with the rest of the album, but the more I played it, the more I felt it belonged alongside the others.

I think « Wild Love  » attempts to capture the many facets of love – the good, the bad and the ugly – and I feel this song brings something no other does. It's also a little, very upbeat track."
