Overview
Since 2008, the indie-pop duo Pomplamoose (Jack Conte & Nataly Dawn) invites the public to go behind the curtain to witness the recording process. The group's DIY ethic, its split-screen music videos, and live studio sessions have inspired generations of independent artists.
For three years, Pomplamoose has been sharing the creation of Photogénique, a lush and groovy bossa-pop album in French, produced by Jeremy Most (Emily King), Conte, and Philip Etherington (Lizzy McAlpine).
It is a story of passage into romantic adulthood, playful and profoundly nostalgic, steeped in memories of Dawn's childhood in France and Belgium. Collaborations include legendary jazz organist Larry Goldings and French singer-songwriter Laura Cahen.
Photogénique was released on 16 July 2025, with a launch party at the El Rey in Los Angeles and two sold-out concerts at Bal Blomet in Paris. After the summer 2026 release of the album's deluxe edition, the group will tour the major markets in the United States and Europe.
