Overview
Since 2008, the indie-pop duo Pomplamoose (Jack Conte & Nataly Dawn) has invited audiences behind the curtain to witness the recording process. The band's DIY ethos, its split-screen music videos and its live studio sessions have inspired generations of independent artists.
For the past three years, Pomplamoose has shared the creation of Photogénique, a lush and groovy French bossa-pop album produced by Jeremy Most (Emily King), Conte and Philip Etherington (Lizzy McAlpine).
It is a story of romantic coming of age, playful and deeply nostalgic, steeped in Dawn's childhood memories of France and Belgium. Collaborations include the legendary jazz organist Larry Goldings and the French singer-songwriter Laura Cahen.
Photogénique was released on 16 July 2025, with a launch party at the El Rey in Los Angeles and two sold-out concerts at the Bal Blomet in Paris.
Following the release of the album's deluxe edition in summer 2026, the band will set off on a tour across the main markets of the United States and Europe.
