Overview
The American post-punk band Protomartyr takes to the Trabendo stage for a concert built around its raw, spirited independent rock.
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, and formed in 2008, Protomartyr sits within the lineage of American and British post-punk. Active since 2010 and signed to Domino Records, the quartet released its first studio album, No Passion All Technique, in 2012. Since then, the band has pursued a trajectory acclaimed by critics, marked by dark, taut compositions.
On stage, Protomartyr deploys a head-on energy with no frills. Their live performances rest on instrumental rigour and an intense delivery, driven by a characteristically spoken-sung vocal style. This concert is aimed at lovers of independent rock and music with rugged textures. The Trabendo offers a configuration conducive to closeness with the band, allowing audiences to appreciate the density of this repertoire built for the stage during this tour.
