Overview
International accolades have been accumulating for the Kairi Quartet in recent months. To open this first Constellation season at La Scala, this quartet with its communicative energy takes us on a journey through two centuries of string quartet creation.
From the romantic tension of Schubert's Quartettsatz to the refined soundscapes of Takemitsu, passing through the poetic writing of Xu Yi and the profound spirituality of Vasks, each work explores space, time, and memory in its own way.
