Close to a piano concerto without respecting its formal framework, it unfolds in a single continuous movement. An excellent improviser, Gershwin invented some of the solos during the premiere before later transcribing them.
The Concerto in F and the symphonic poem An American in Paris are also fruits of rich cultural fusions. Alongside Eric Le Sage, the Ellipsos saxophone quartet brings brilliant and warm colors to this repertoire, highlighting its original link with the jazz universe.
