Quatuor Våren

Curious, bold and resolutely committed to new creation, the Quatuor Våren belongs to a new generation of ensembles that enjoys breaking away from well-trodden paths. Their programmes, always distinctive, open new perspectives on chamber music. For this concert, the journey begins with À l'Orée by Farnaz Modarresifar, a work for string quartet and santur co-commissioned by ProQuartet, in which timbres and cultures engage in dialogue with rare poetry. The high point of the evening: the world premiere of Redshift by Frédéric Maurin, also co-commissioned by ProQuartet and composed for the Quatuor Våren. An invitation to discover musical territories still unexplored.
