Ramona Horvath invite Lisa Cat-Berro, Femmages au 38Riv Jazz Club JSS26

Contemporary jazz — Ramona Horvath and Lisa Cat-Berro join forces to celebrate the great female composers of jazz, paying tribute to their heritage while bringing a touch of originality.

Pianist Ramona Horvath and saxophonist Lisa Cat-Berro bring together their musical universes in an unprecedented quartet focused on a repertoire dedicated to the great female composers in jazz history, who have long remained in the shadows or received insufficient recognition.

Through the works of Mary Lou Williams, Ann Ronell, Carla Bley, Maria Grever, Kay Swift, and other major figures, the quartet pays tribute to these creators who have profoundly shaped the history of music.

The program is also enriched by original compositions from Ramona Horvath and Lisa Cat-Berro, offering a natural dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.

Driven by four musicians with strong artistic personalities, this steadily evolving ensemble explores a meeting space where sensibilities respond to one another, entwine, and mutually enrich each other.

Between lyricism, freedom, complicity, and improvisation, each concert becomes a living experience, nourished by listening and the inspiration of the moment. An evening dedicated to discovery, emotion, and musical alchemy… with the constant promise of wonderful surprises.

As part of the Jazz sur Seine 2026 festival. Line-up: Ramona Horvath: piano; Lisa Cat-Berro: saxophone; Nicolas Rageau: double bass; Julie Saury: drums.

The 38Riv Jazz Club is an intimate venue in the heart of the Marais district (38 rue de Rivoli, Paris 4th), dedicated to jazz and improvised music.
