SEB LOWE (10:30pm) (Indie folk - Manchester, UK) Here's Seb Lowe, the new rising star of the British indie scene, just 22 years old, leading a band composed of Kate Couriel on violin and Joel Goodwin on drums.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Sinead O'Connor, Led Zeppelin, Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and David Bowie, Seb's music reflects a careful blend of these influences.

While his songs address burning issues such as social injustice, politics, sexism and many others, Seb's spirit, humor and melodic sensitivity ensure they are delivered with nuance and accessibility.

He places great importance on the power of words to spark constructive conversations, even between participants who seem opposed.

KATE COURIEL (9:30pm) (Folk - Manchester, UK) Kate Couriel is an electric violinist based in Manchester, best known for her central role within the Seb Lowe band.

From a classical music background, Kate has developed high-level technique, worthy of the Hallé Young Orchestra – within which she was then the youngest musician.

Once her training was complete, Kate began exploring the electric violin to push conventional instrument boundaries and venture into a wide range of musical genres.

As lead violinist on K's debut album, which charted, Kate brought baroque-style flourishes to their indie rock sound.

With Seb Lowe's band, Kate draws inspiration from classical, folk, theatrical, punk and rock music to showcase the power of Seb's lyricism, thus developing a "unique sound". She is said to "energize songs through the dramatic side her strings bring to rock music".
