SENSER – Defying Boundaries Since 1989

Born out of the underground energy of free festivals, squats and the acid rave scene, Senser emerged in 1989, forging an incendiary fusion of beats, hip-hop flow, heavy guitars and a host of musical influences. Their audacity and taste for experimentation gave birth to a sound that is as politically engaged as it is sonically innovative — a band beyond categories, still as relevant today.

In 1994, Senser signed to Ultimate Records / A&M and released their debut album Stacked Up, acclaimed around the world. The album entered the UK charts straight at number 4, sold more than 250,000 copies and cemented the band's place on the alternative scene for good.

Known for their explosive live energy, Senser set alight the biggest festivals: Glastonbury (1992-1995, 1998), Reading (1993, 1994), Download (2010), Hellfest (2013), Pukkelpop, and many more, captivating audiences across Europe, the United States and Japan. Alongside Rage Against The Machine, Henry Rollins, The Levellers, Skunk Anansie and Tool, the band built a solid reputation as a live machine with an uncompromising message.

To celebrate 20 years of Stacked Up, the album was remastered and reissued as Stacked Up XX, with the legendary engineer John Dent (Bob Marley, The Clash, Motörhead, The Prodigy), giving this cult record a new lease of life.

2025 marks the grand return of Senser with a sixth studio album, Sonic Dissidence. True to their fiercely independent spirit, the record is entirely self-financed, self-produced and released on their own label, Imprint Music. Still rooted in their signature blend of rock, metal, hip-hop and alternative electronica, the album confirms Senser as pioneers of crossover.
