Sophie Hunger

Swiss singer-songwriter Sophie Hunger presents her folk-pop-blues universe on the stage of the Alhambra in Paris.

Sophie Hunger has made her mark on the European scene with a career marked by albums ranging from intimate folk to independent rock, beginning with Sketches on Sea in 2006. Her songwriting, nourished by varied influences, is accompanied by carefully crafted instrumentation in which the guitar and the voice occupy a central place. The Swiss artist has also extended her artistic work to composing for film, notably for the animated feature Ma vie de Courgette.

On stage, Sophie Hunger's concerts rely on a tight line-up and a direct, front-facing presence, alternating moments of rock tension with more stripped-back passages. The performance highlights the dynamics of the arrangements and the distinctiveness of the vocal range. This concert is aimed particularly at audiences who enjoy demanding independent pop and contemporary folk compositions.

The Alhambra, located on rue Yves Toudic in the tenth arrondissement, offers a seated or standing configuration depending on the evening, allowing an appreciable closeness to the artists. This Parisian venue hosts the French leg of the tour with an acoustic well suited to the nuances of this repertoire.
