Overview
The Japanese trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, based in Brooklyn, presents Everyday, his eighth studio album, the fruit of daily work and a constant pursuit of the perfect blend between modern production and organic playing.
Rooted between hip-hop, neo-soul and contemporary jazz, this new release confirms his unique and deeply personal style.
Since Midnight Crisp (2022), hailed as a future classic, Kuroda is refining his approach still further: composing at home, testing in the studio, inviting musicians and polishing every detail until he reaches the sound he hears in his head.
An artisanal method that feeds a powerful groove and a very contemporary energy. With Everyday, he delivers a hybrid jazz, warm and rhythmic, carried by an understated virtuosity on both trumpet and keyboards.
A project that celebrates everyday life, discipline and creative freedom.
