The Belt de Ambiguous Dance Company

Founded by Boram Kim, Ambiguous Dance Company has made its name on the international stage with a style that defies classification, fusing hip-hop, classical ballet and contemporary dance with surgical precision.

With The Belt, the company presents a work in two parts that questions our relationship with transmission and progress. The title itself evokes the continuous movement of a conveyor belt, a symbol of kinetic energy that links the past to the future in an unbroken flow.

This hit, which caused a sensation in London, invites audience members to step symbolically into thematic "rooms" where the dancers breathe new life into the memory of the walls.

Visitors encounter an iconoclastic reinterpretation of Ravel's Boléro as well as a hypnotic performance that illustrates the company's philosophy: "all humans must communicate through dance". The Belt is a choreographic piece of high-wire daring.
