Legendary pioneers of Swiss rock, The Young Gods celebrate 40 years in the business with their 14th studio album, Appear Disappear. After the atmospheric moods of Data Mirage Tangram (2019), the trio wanted to return to something raw, direct and visceral.
Guitars are out, knives are drawn: The Young Gods sharpen their aim and strike with renewed power. Rarely has a Young Gods record drawn so directly on its era: military conflicts, mass surveillance, intimate dramas.
Since 1985, the band has forged new musical territory, daring to bring together the raw urgency of rock with the power of electronics.
Appear Disappear captures this vibrant heart, honouring their history while folding in their ever-present influences, from psychedelic rock to post-punk.
