HIVE TOUR Wamen takes her name from her grandmother: in 2016, she inherits her first name and chooses to carry her memory on stage.
Franco-Cameroonian, she grows up in Cameroon until the age of 16 and draws from this dual culture a rich musical identity, nourished by Henri Dikongué, Jacques Brel, Lady Ponce, Édith Piaf, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone.
Wamen tells stories of love often broken, mirrors of a generation and its wounds, with direct and poetic writing. With Discipline, which has become a true anthem, she affirms her strength and identity by denouncing now-trivialized sexism.
Her project RE (August 17, 2025) marks the end of a cycle and opens the way to deep appeasement, carried by an artist of great sincerity and supported by a loyal and committed community.
After selling out La Maroquinerie in just a few hours, Wamen will perform on December 9 at La Cigale, also sold out, before embarking on a tour throughout France.
