Weezer

The American group Weezer takes to the stage at the Zénith Paris - La Villette for an alternative rock concert.

Formed in 1992 in Los Angeles around Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson and Brian Bell, Weezer has established itself as a leading figure of alternative rock, emo and the American rock of the 1990s. Signed to Universal Music Group, the quartet released its first album in 1995 and, over the decades, has built a prolific discography that alternates between distorted guitars and straightforward pop melodies.

On stage, Weezer presents a set built around its most memorable compositions and more recent tracks, led by a band seasoned in playing large venues. Rock concertgoers will hear a faithful rendition of the studio recordings, carried by the melodic songwriting that characterises the Californian band.

This evening is aimed mainly at fans of 1990s American rock and the group's long-standing listeners. The Zénith Paris - La Villette offers a configuration suited to this kind of large-scale performance, giving good sightlines of the stage from both the seated tiers and the standing floor.
