Wolf Eyes / Cuntroaches

Hailing from Michigan, Wolf Eyes is one of the most important and influential groups in the experimental noise movement of the last 25 years.

Always elusive, totally free and indomitable, their discography spans hundreds of releases, ranging from cassettes limited to just 2 or 3 copies to more massive releases on Sub Pop and even Third Man Records.

After previously operating as a trio with Aaron Dilloway, Mike Connelly and then James Baljo, Wolf Eyes now perform as a duo—the hard core, one might say—composed of Nate Young and John Olson.

Capable of unleashing an explosive, creeping music that is as devastated as certain neighbourhoods in the city of Detroit from which the group hails, Wolf Eyes have for some years been probing the winding depths of what they call "psycho jazz" and "Trip Metal"...

All approaches and psychic states that hammer out a unique and eccentric artistic manifesto. They have collaborated on stage and on record with Marshall Allen, Anthony Braxton, Richard Pinhas, MV Carbon, and more.

On this new tour, they are presenting "Self Embalmed", a picture disc featuring artwork inspired by embroideries and other iron-on patches created by the duo. Cuntroaches If you push the chaos slider 666 feet underground, you stumble upon Cuntroaches.

Past the strata of blood-red light and stained fury, the states of bewilderment and suffocation, you can fully and serenely appreciate the music of the Berlin-based trio.

A creature dragged from the basements in the year of our Lord 2015, the band has since liquefied numerous stages across the old continent and dissolved itself in ecstasy, in total harmony with its audience. But what exactly are we talking about?

Cuntroaches' music (guitar, bass, drums) delivers, in the form of supercharged assaults, a mass of post-grindcore, dilapidated metal, ultra-noisy punk... The whole thing could be mixed in a rusted container in the middle of an industrial zone.
