Alain Chamfort, born Alain Le Govic on March 2, 1949 in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, is a French singer-songwriter and performer.
He was noticed by Claude François, who had him record his first hits such as Adieu mon bébé chanteur and L'Amour en France, which led him to be labeled a 'teenybopper singer'. He left this world in 1976 by signing with CBS to change his style and have complete artistic freedom.
In 1979, he performed Manureva, which remains his greatest career success to this day and has sold over a million copies.
