About — The artist
Alphaville created two of synth-pop's most enduring anthems: "Big in Japan" and "Forever Young" (1984), a ballad endlessly covered and sampled, from American prom nights to Jay-Z. Marian Gold's German group has never stopped touring, carrying these new wave classics with updated arrangements and a remarkably well-preserved voice. Their Paris concerts are unapologetic time capsules, where the 80s are sung with eyes closed and hearts open.
