About — The artist
Ange is a French progressive rock band, from Belfort, Héricourt and Vesoul, in Franche-Comté. Formed in late 1969, it was originally made up of Christian Décamps and Jean-Michel Brézovar, soon joined by Francis, Christian's brother.
In its early days, the band's music drew on medieval-fantasy lyrics set to progressive rock. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes. Led by Christian Décamps and his son Tristan, the band has continued its activity since Francis Décamps' departure in 1995. Over its existence, it has earned six gold records and sold more than six million albums.
