About — The artist
Breaking Benjamin is an American alternative metal band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It was formed in 1998, initially under the name Plan 9, by current singer Benjamin Burnley and former drummer Jeremy Hummel. In 2010, the band put its activities on hold due to legal and health issues. A best-of compilation was released in 2011. In August 2011, singer Benjamin decided to fire the band's guitarist and bassist following a dispute over a remix of Blow Me Away. On 20 August 2014, the band announced its return on its Facebook page. By 2014, the band had sold seven million copies of their albums in the United States alone.
