Theory of a Deadman

Theory of a Deadman (abbreviated to Theory) is a Canadian alternative metal band from Delta, British Columbia. Formed in 2001, they were discovered by Chad Kroeger, frontman of the Canadian band Nickelback. They have released a total of four studio albums under the Roadrunner Records label, located in Calabasas, California. In 2005, the tracks Santa Monica, Say Goodbye, No Way Out and No Surprise appeared on the soundtrack of the video game Fahrenheit.

Tyler Connolly, the singer, and Dean Back, the bassist, founded the band in high school. They were later joined by another guitarist, Dave Brenner, the younger brother of a friend of Dean's. Their first drummer left the band before the release of the album Gasoline in 2005. On May 17, 2011, the track Lowlife was released, the first single from the album The Truth Is…, which came out in July 2011. On April 22, 2014, the band released a new single, Drown, and announced the release of their new album titled Savages for July 29. Before the album's release, three songs were made available: Drown, Savages and Angel.
