Chilly Gonzales

Jason Beck (born March 20, 1972, in Montreal, Quebec), better known by his stage name Chilly Gonzales, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist, who also holds French nationality. A classically trained pianist, he blends various musical styles in his compositions and stage performances: jazz, contemporary music, hip-hop, pop... His career took off while he was living in Berlin. He now resides in Cologne, after also having lived for many years in Paris.

He also composes for other artists. He regularly collaborates with other Canadian musicians, such as Feist, Peaches, and Mocky. He also collaborated with Jamie Lidell on his albums Multiply and Compass, with Buck 65 on the album Secret House Against the World, and Socalled on his albums Ghettoblaster and Sleepover. In 2011, he participated in the album Random Access Memories by the electronic music duo Daft Punk, and in Philippe Katerine's album, Confessions.
