Five Finger Death Punch (sometimes abbreviated FFDP or 5FDP) is an American groove metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2005 by Hungarian-born guitarist Zoltán Báthory, the band consists of Ivan Moody on vocals, Charlie Engen on drums, Chris Kael on bass, and Andy James on guitar. The name Five Finger Death Punch is a reference to martial arts cinema, and in particular to the famous “Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique” from Quentin Tarantino's film Kill Bill.
