Franck Dubosc

Franck Dubosc, born on 7 November 1963 in Le Petit-Quevilly, is a French comedian, actor, screenwriter, and director.

Franck Dubosc achieved a breakthrough in cinema in 2006 with the lead role in the popular comedy Camping, fulfilling his cinematic dreams. He then confirmed his success with other comedies by Fabien Onteniente: Disco (2008), Camping 2 (2010), and Camping 3 (2016).

He also became a frequent collaborator with director Éric Lavaine on Incognito (2009), Bienvenue à bord (2011), Barbecue (2014), and Les Beaux Malaises (2016). He played the lead role in three comedies by Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier: the two adaptations of the comic strip Boule et Bill (in 2013 and 2017) and the satire Les Têtes de l'emploi (2016). He also participated in major French productions such as Astérix aux Jeux olympiques (2008), Les Seigneurs (2012), and Les Visiteurs : La Révolution (2016).

In 2018, he directed his first film Tout le monde debout, which achieved considerable critical and commercial success. His third film, Un ours dans le Jura, received a positive reception from critics and audiences, earning him, among other accolades, the award for best original screenplay at the César Awards in 2026.
