About — The artist
Isha, stylised ISHA, formerly Psmaker, full name Isha Pilipili, born on 2 June 1986 in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert (Brussels-Capital), is a Belgian rapper, singer and singer-songwriter of Congolese descent.
After a first career under the stage name “Psmaker” in the 2000s, he took up his career again a few years later under his own first name during the second half of the 2010s. Carried by his relaxed flow, deep voice and introspective writing, he is known for belonging to the new wave of 2010s Belgian rap alongside artists such as Hamza, Damso, Green Montana and Shay.
From 2017 to 2020, his EP trilogy La vie Augmente brought him to the attention of a discerning audience, spreading beyond Belgium's borders. In 2022, he released his first studio album, Labrador Bleu. In 2023, he teamed up with Limsa d'Aulnay and released “Bitume Caviar, Vol 1”, a joint project praised by critics for the two artists' complementary styles and quality of writing.
Alongside his career as an artist, he co-founded the label “PAPA SHANGO” (a label in partnership with Parlophone France and BMG France) with Stanley Zotres in 2021.
