About — The artist
Jorge Abner Drexler Prada is a Uruguayan musician and actor. He is known for winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2005 for "Al Otro Lado del Río", from the film The Motorcycle Diaries. He was the first Uruguayan to win an Oscar, and it was the first time a Spanish-language song had received this award.
