About — The artist
Kailasa is an Indian rock band founded by Kailash Kher. Its name is drawn from an accented pronunciation of Kailash, as well as from Mount Kailash, the abode of the Hindu god Shiva. On guitars, drums and keyboards, the band incorporates classical Indian instruments and, at times, traditional lyrics into its songs, lending them a folk and Sufi colour.
