About — The artist
Las Migas is an all-female Spanish quartet playing popular music, formed in Barcelona in 2004. Their music draws on traditional flamenco forms, often combined with a variety of styles such as country, pop, urban music, bluegrass, folk, rumba, jazz and classical music. The group's members play instruments, compose and write, going beyond the limited roles traditionally assigned to women in flamenco since the early twentieth century. Former members of Las Migas who have gone on to solo careers include Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Alba Carmona. The group has won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Flamenco Album twice, for Libres in 2022 and for Flamencas in 2025.
