Nass El Ghiwane

Nass El Ghiwane (Arabic: نَاس ٱلْغِيوَان) is a Moroccan musical group, born in the 1970s in Casablanca in the Hay Mohammadi district, one of the city's neighborhoods richest in intellectual and cultural diversity, and initially composed of six musicians: Laarbi Batma, Allal Yaâla, Moulay Abdelaziz Tahiri (Pioneer of the Nass El Ghiwane and Jil Jilala movements), Omar Sayed, Raifak Redouane, Mohamed Akhdim and Boujmîa Hagour.

Another member, one of the founders of the musical group named LRFAG, from the Sidi Bernousi district of Casablanca, Chifa Abdelkrim, a great composer and teacher of the Banjou, replaced Allal in 2007.
