About — The artist
Raúl Paz is a Cuban singer-songwriter (singer and musician), born in 1969 in Pinar del Río province, specifically in San Luis, in western Cuba. Drawing on Cuban music, he composes in a style very much his own. He writes old-fashioned lyrics set to more modern rhythms. He is particularly fond of blending genres.
