Taemin

Lee Tae-min (Korean: 이태민), better known by his stage name Taemin, born on July 18, 1993, in Seoul (Dobong-gu), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and dancer, and occasional actor.

He debuted at the age of 14 as a member of the group SHINee in May 2008. His meteoric success and artistic impact led him to be dubbed “the idol's idol” (“Idol's Idol”). In parallel, he began an acting career in 2009 in the MBC television series Tae-Hee, Hye-Kyo, Ji-Hyun, playing the role of Junsu.

Taemin began his solo career in 2014 with his first extended play titled Ace. It reached number 1 on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea, and his first single Danger peaked at fifth place on the Gaon Weekly Digital Chart. His first studio album, Press It (2016), also ranked number 1 on the Gaon Album Chart. In July 2016, the singer made his solo debut in Japan with the EP Sayonara Hitori. In 2018, he became a member of the supergroup SuperM, created by the label SM Entertainment.

He completed his military service between April 2021 and April 2023. Upon returning from the army and after the release of SHINee's eighth album, Hard, Taemin released a new solo album titled Guilty.
