About — The artist
The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore and metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland. Formed in 2003, the band's line-up in 2013 consisted of Troy Brady (lead guitar), Ahren Stringer (bass, vocals), Joel Birch (vocals), Ryan Burt (drums, percussion), and Dan Brown (rhythm guitar). Since their formation, The Amity Affliction has recorded eight studio albums: Severed Ties, released in 2008; Youngbloods in 2010, which debuted at number 6 on the ARIA chart; Chasing Ghosts in 2012, which debuted at number one on the ARIA chart; and Let The Ocean Take Me in 2014. They then returned in 2016 with a new album titled This Could Be Heartbreak, in 2018 with the album Misery, Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them in 2020, and Not Without My Ghosts in 2023.
