About — The artist
The Puppini Sisters are a British female pop/jazz trio specialising in the close harmony vocal style widely used in the 1940s.
Their style aims to be glamorous, retro and new burlesque all at once. Its members are currently Italian singer Marcella Puppini and English singers Kate Mullins and Emma Smith. Their name was chosen as a reference to the Andrews Sisters, one of their main influences. The trio also cites the influence of The Chordettes, The Boswell Sisters, Marlene Dietrich, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Joan Crawford, as well as Kate Bush, Mike Flowers, The Smiths, Tom Waits, Carole King and even Marilyn Manson.
